Support Services
It is suggested that anyone wishing to attend classes contact the school office by email or by phone (845-988-9781). There are no application or membership fees other than class tuition.
Directions to Subtle Energies Holistic Center, 11 37 Lake Station Plaza, Kings Highway, Chester/Sugar Loaf
From Warwick and Points South: Take Kings Highway towards Sugar Loaf. Go past the blinking light. Subtle Energies Holistic Center is in the first building on the right after the storage center. Subtle Energies Holistic Center offers an array of holistic health therapies and treatments as well as classes to promote health lifestyles and to educate the public about a variety of alternative approaches to well-being.
From Chester and Points North: Take the main street in Sugar Loaf (Kings Highway) south towards Warwick. Go past the Lyceum Theater (on right). Continue along Kings Highway. The Lyceum Lighting Company will be on the left. Subtle Energies is in the next building after the Lighting Company
Attending Multiple Classes
All students are permitted to take any class offered for their training level.
Students attending classes are allowed to take classes as many classes as they like at no additional cost provided they meet any prerequisites for the class they wish to take. To find out if they have met the criteria for attendence, students may contact the school office at 845-988-9781 or through the school website at www.warwicktaichi.com.
Tutorials/Private Lessons
Beyond scheduled classes, students may arrange to meet with instructors before or after regularly scheduled class times at no extra charge. Warwick Tai Chi also offers private lessons to students who wish to study but cannot attend classes at the regularly scheduled times. Private lessons must be arranged through the Warwick Tai Chi school office.
Sash Ranking/Exam Period
Students are permitted to take classes as long as their financial obligation to the school is met. The school offers sash rankings up to the level of Black Sash for those students who are interested in this form of study. Sash ranking is not manditory for study at the school.
Those students interested in receiving sashes must sucessfully complete a written and practical examination for each level of achievement. Upon successfully passing the exam, students will be awarded the appropriate sash along with a certificate of advancement. Interested students should see their class instructor to register for the ranking program.
All students (beginner to advanced) are encouraged to attend classes during exam periods, regardless of whether participating in the sash ranking program, since it provides an opportunity for students to receive specific feedback on their individual progress. Unlike other educational experiences, there are no grades assigned. All feedback will be constructive and supportive.
